This dark, narrow basement flat with low ceilings and no garden visibility was reworked into a spacious, modern home. Key goals included maximising natural light, creating social zones, and adding practical spaces for work and guests—all while navigating COVID-19 disruptions.

Garden Integration: Floor-to-ceiling glazing and a sunken living area with steps to the garden created seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
Light Revolution: A strategically placed skylight and raised ceiling height flooded the space with daylight, eliminating the need for artificial lighting.
Social Kitchen Hub: A bespoke peninsula island enabled cocktail-making and entertaining, blending cooking and lounging areas.
Smart Zoning: Converted a cramped layout into a dedicated home office, guest bedroom, and a sleek, relocated bathroom with reflective tiles to brighten dark corridors.
